Job Description

• Perform inspections in accordance with the ITP (Inspection and Test Plan) & Project Specification

• Ensure that material/consumables are stored and handled in accordance with manufacturers requirements and data sheets are available, when required, material traceability is maintained and correct material used

• Monitor the performance of contractors, ensure Applicators are competent and where required have valid certification for the process in use, equipment is in serviceable condition

• Ensure inspection and test equipment is serviceable, with in calibration period and personnel are knowledgeable in its use

• Ensure blast medium and coating materials conform to project specifications

• Ensure surface preparation blast profile/cleanliness meet requirements,

• Monitor wet film thickness during application and application technique.

• Ensure ambient conditions are acceptable for required process output.

• Monitor dry film thickness and re-coating intervals.

• Ensure any identification marks or tags removed or over coated are replaced.

• After the full curing activity conduct visual inspection and specified non-destructive and destructive tests.

• Prepare daily reports on the work in progress.

• Carry out any other duties as and when required by the supervisor.

• Responsible for timely inspection during fabrication and construction, proactive in the prevention of non-compliance and problem resolution.
  

Job Requirement:

• Required to carry out various task including but not limited to climbing, working at heights and confined space.

NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers) level I (Level II is a plus) or similar.

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in painting and coating Inspection.

. Sub-Contractors QC experience an advantage.

• Strong understanding of discipline related Codes, Standards, Inspections , Testing methods and criteria\xe2\x80\x99s

• Proficient computer knowledge with Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word and Outlook) is required.

• Ability to prioritize the work in multi-tasking environment.

• Ability to meet tight deadlines, follow up on commitments, and action.

• Strong ability to solve problems and communicate persuasively.

• Willing to work in a Plant / Refinery environment

• Willing to work in Jurong Island 60 hours per week
