Secure merchant offers for Offers programs through direct contact with merchants, aggregators, or regional market development teams, with a specific focus on sourcing merchants in Japan.
Prepare proposals and budget forecasts, make presentations, and manage account renewals.
Build, manage, and maintain a robust merchant business development pipeline.
Strategically grow issuer/merchant business through quarterly business reviews and articulate program success and the value of card-linked programs.
Oversee operations, including cross-functional team members and vendors, to ensure smooth program execution.
Monitor, manage, and report on merchant offer KPIs to track program performance.
Conduct regular issuer/merchant meetings to ensure consistent program delivery and identify opportunities for retention and growth.
Develop subject-matter expertise on the benefits and considerations of merchant participation in personalized, card-linked offer marketing programs.
Support issue resolution between functional groups and management as needed.
Troubleshoot merchant billing process and issues and deploy monthly merchant statements.
Maintain account budgets and forecasts and establish and monitor revenue projection goals.
Drive and maintain high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
Requirements:
Bachelor\'s Degree in Marketing or any related discipline
Minimum 5+ years of experience in loyalty/rewards offers space or direct experience working with merchant partners in an offers-based program, with a focus on sourcing merchants in Japan.
Business development experience with a track record of success in working with various internal and external stakeholders.
Previous experience in merchant loyalty marketing or related digital marketing.
Ability to act with a persistent and relentless sense of urgency to achieve goals.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while paying strict attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively to diverse audiences.
Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and cross-functional team building skills.
Business proficiency (spoken and written) in Japanese (Min. JLPT N2 or equivalent certifications) as role involves direct interaction with Japanese merchants, aggregators, and regional market development teams.
