Part-time 5 days' work each week from 1pm to 5.30pm (Mon to Thu) and 1pm to 5pm (Fri), 12 months' contract.Responsibilities The Part-Time Programme Coordinator will be directly responsible for / assist the Senior Programme Coordinators in managing, a cohort of children and will be tasked with looking into:Child's Physical Well-Being + Physical Development: chaperoning them safely from the school to the centre (walking distance) ; ensuring good hygiene practices are followed by the children; ensuring children take their meals; ensuring they behave themselves and listen to instructions; ensuring the children rest during rest-time; ensuring they follow the rules and expectations of the centre e.g. observe safety first at the centre (and not expose themselves or their friends to hazards); providing first aid and arranging quickly for medical attention should a child fall sick or sustain an injury; leading the children in physical exercises (there are designated times); ensuring the children are safely received by their parents to go home at the end of each day.Child's Emotional & Psychological Well-Being - Moral & Social Development: leading by personal example for the children by modelling and imparting values and good qualities to the children and managing their conduct; creating opportunities for the children to acquire social skills/good etiquette and managing the children as they interact with each other - making sure they do so in ways that are polite, considerate and respectful; listening to and counselling a child when he/she is upset and down - balancing the need to counsel and guide the child with respect for the child as a person; imbuing each child with a more positive sense of self and the spirit of doing his/her best; partnering parents and volunteers to guide and nurture the children.The Child's Schoolwork + Cognitive & Aesthetic Development: ensuring the children keep up with their schoolwork - homework assigned by the school; coaching and guiding children in areas/topics they are weak in - in their academic subjects; providing children with learning activities beyond their textbooks - and to exercise and express their creativity through art, music; helping children to find areas they are good in and to have the desire to learn new things.Other (admin) Duties: Helping to keep the centre clean, neat and operationally well-functioning; Carrying out tasks assigned by the Head of Centre.Requirements Minimum "O" Level qualification At least 1 year of relevant experience in looking after children IT savvy; able to use IT in teaching and for admin
