Job Description

Waseda Shibuya Senior High School in Singapore 57 West Coast Road \xc2\xb7 Hours: Monday \xe2\x80\x93 Thursday, from 9:30am to 12:30pm Responsibilities

• teach the English Conversation Course to Japanese high school students
• administer mid-term & end of term oral exams
• update student attendance register daily
• attend monthly Department meetings
• email twice weekly homework tasks to students

Requirements

• candidate must have a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in any field with a CELTA/TESOL qualification preferred
• candidate must have a minimum of 3 years ESL teaching experience
• candidate must have experience in teaching speaking skills to different ability levels of students (from low level to near native speakers)
• candidate must have experience in grading English oral skills including oral examinations
• candidate must have a passion for teaching Japanese high school students
• candidate must be a team player who is used to collaborating with colleagues
• candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
• candidate must be proficient with Excel, PowerPoint and Word; computer skills necessary
• candidate must have experience with teaching online (Zoom)
• candidate must have a commitment to meeting deadlines
• candidate must have a positive attitude
• candidate must provide at least two contact details for referees (At least one reference must be job-related and not just personal or academic related)
