Part Time Lecturer For Interpreting Courses
Job Description
Master of Arts in Translation and Interpretation Programme at NTU is seeking an experienced part-time instructor who is capable of teaching specialized interpreting courses (Chinese to English, and vice versa). A proven track record of practical experience in medical interpreting, court interpreting, community interpreting etc. is essential. Holding an accredited certification or recognised practising credential is preferable. The instructor\xe2\x80\x99s responsibilities include designing the course curriculum for consecutive/simultaneous interpreting, providing teaching and reading materials, conducting lectures and examinations in person on the NTU campus, giving assignments and feedback, and marking students\xe2\x80\x99 work accordingly.
Requirements:
Preference will be given to candidates with relevant teaching experience in the Institutes of Higher Learning.
The successful candidate is expected to use both Chinese and English as the medium of instruction and to commence duty as soon as possible.
