Nanyang Centre for Public Administration invites applications for part-time teaching of the following course at the intermediate level:

Requirements:

PhD in relevant field
Teaching experience at a tertiary level or with adult learners and excellent teaching evaluation
Knowledge in the formulation, implementation and evaluation of public policy in contemporary China and experience with multimedia course materials

Teaching Requirement:Duration: 3 hours per week for 13 sessions.Course Objectives:

Students should be taught how to analyse the process involved in the formulation, implementation and evaluation of public policies in contemporary China.
Examples from the following policies areas should be discussed and evaluated:

Economic and fiscal policy, industrial policy: social welfare policy: population policy; science and technology policy; agriculture policy and environment policy, etc.

Teaching Outcome:

Students should be able to examine the key political variables that shape policy making and administrative reform in contemporary China.
