Apply now and embark on an exciting journey to shape the future of IP in one of the world\'s leading consumer goods companies.What success looks likeSuccess in the role will require you to help drive business results for the category of consumer products you will take responsibility for, by combining legal expertise, practical business judgment, creative problem solving, critical thinking, and good communication skills to internal and external stakeholders.Responsibilities of the roleManage patent-related work for the consumer products part of P&G\xe2\x80\x99s BabyCare/Feminine Care business units within Asia, including:

• Serve as the single point of contact for selected R&D clients, developing holistic IP strategies and comprehensive IP risk management plans for global or regional product launches.
• Partner with selected R&D clients to gain a deep understanding of technology and product lineup, harvest associated inventions, evaluate the patentability of such inventions, and draft patent applications and file design rights.
• Own Asia patent application prosecution docket and collaborate with outside counsels across Asia.
• Support invalidation of competitive patents or defence of P&G patent rights against invalidations filed by competitors.
• Conduct freedom-to-practice clearances, screen third-party patent rights, identify risks, and collaborate with R&D and senior leaders to develop strategies, including design around, to mitigate any potential risks.
• Leverage and enforce P&G IP rights (patents and designs).

Job Qualifications

• You hold a Bachelors, Masters, and/or PhD in a technical field such as life sciences, chemistry, engineering, or a related discipline.
• You possess a local or foreign patent attorney certification, such as being a Singaporean, Chinese, European or US patent attorney.
• You have 3-6 years of relevant work experience as an in-house patent attorney or at a law firm, with experience on patent drafting/prosecution, freedom-to-practice assessments, infringement/validity/invalidity assessments. Exposure to patent enforcement and litigation is not a prerequisite.
• You are creative and strategic in developing and executing holistic IP strategies.
• You demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• You display excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
• You love being in a multicultural, collaborative and diverse environment.

• You have fantastic interpersonal skills to persuade, influence and adapt communication style to different situations and individuals.
• You are flexible, ready to pivot as business needs arise.
• You are willing and able to live and work permanently in Singapore for P&G\'s local entity.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin with excellent written and verbal communication skills as the role requires regular connects with Chinese R&D clients.
