ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for a Patent Attorney or Patent Associate with an ICT/Electronic Engineering background to join our Singapore team. Candidates with technical experience/background in communications and/or software, such as AI/machine learning, is preferred.


In this role you will be working alongside like-minded and motivated professionals and leading patent attorneys. We work proactively and in close collaboration with our clients to ensure they receive high quality, commercially realistic advice and outcomes.


Your day to day work will involve all aspects of private patent attorney practices, including liaising with inventors and corporate clients, drafting patent specifications, conducting prior art searches, providing patentability, patent infringement, patent validity opinions, and prosecuting patent applications. You will prepare, prosecute, analyse and provide opinions on patent applications relating to inventions in electrical engineering/ICT.

ABOUT YOU

Candidates with either post qualification or near patent attorney qualification (preferably in Singapore), plus at least several years' experience is preferred. A degree (Hons) in electrical/ICT engineering, preferably with technical experience/background in communications and/or software, such as AI/machine learning. Outstanding organisation and communication skills with an excellent command of the English language and the ability to clearly and concisely communicate in writing. Demonstrated ability to provide clients with high quality advice and personalised service. Ability to readily assimilate and critically analyse complex information and think laterally. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
