Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute the company's international payment strategy, aligning with global market trends and regulatory frameworks. Lead the establishment and operational management of licensed entities, such as the Singapore MPI license, including activating all five core business areas within six months (account issuance, e-money, domestic/ cross-border transfers, acquiring). Drive the growth of Alibaba's self-operated cross-border payment products, transforming them into core products with annual transactions exceeding $10 billion, from product inception to large-scale global rollout. Oversee cross-border payment network expansion, leveraging experience with European players (Adyen, Checkout.com, PIX, SPEI), Southeast Asian, and Latin American local payment systems, facilitating the setup of payment channels for Web3 platforms. Manage cross-regional and cross-department teams, promoting coordination among product development, risk control, compliance, and marketing in a fast-paced environment. Ensure adherence to multi-market regulatory and compliance standards, including payment license applications and operations in Singapore, Hong Kong, Europe, and other regions. Foster innovation in payment solutions, integrating digital currencies and exploring new payment technologies to support global transactions. Build and maintain strategic relationships with global partners, banks, fintech companies, and regulators. Provide leadership in navigating payments-related capital markets activities, with a track record of supporting payment-related IPOs or fundraising efforts. Monitor payment performance metrics, risk mitigation strategies, and compliance adherence, providing regular reports to executive leadership.

Qualifications:

Over 11 years of experience in the payment industry, with comprehensive knowledge across card schemes, fintech, and internet giants. Proven success in establishing and managing licensed payment operations internationally, especially in Singapore and Europe. Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale cross-border payment network expansion and product growth. Experience with product innovation, from zero to one, scaling to global markets. Deep understanding of multi-market regulatory environments and licensing processes. Strong leadership skills, with experience managing cross-regional, cross-functional teams. Excellent strategic thinking and execution capabilities, with a track record of driving complex projects. * Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
