As a Payments Subject Matter Expert (SME) at Unison Group, you will play a pivotal role in shaping, enhancing, and supporting our payments systems and initiatives. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners to ensure robust, efficient, and compliant payment solutions are delivered.
Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the go-to SME for Payments domain, providing expertise on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
• Drive and support initiatives across domestic, cross-border, real-time, and high-value payment systems.
• Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of payment flows including validation, processing, reconciliation, and settlement.
• Ensure solutions comply with SWIFT CBPR+ standards and have hands-on involvement with ISO 20022 MX message formats.
• Collaborate with technology teams to design and implement API-driven architectures, including REST APIs, JSON microservices, and payment network connectivity.
• Support integration between payment systems and core banking platforms, ensuring scalability, resilience, and compliance.
• Define business and functional requirements, user stories, and process flows to support new product launches and enhancements.
• Partner with compliance, risk, and operations teams to ensure regulatory and security compliance in all payment processes.
• Provide end-to-end support for UAT, SIT, and production implementation, ensuring smooth transition and minimal disruption.
• Conduct impact analysis for regulatory changes (e.g., ISO 20022 adoption, local clearing mandates) and recommend actionable solutions.
• Deliver training, knowledge sharing, and documentation to upskill teams and support change adoption.
• Liaise with external stakeholders including clearing houses, central banks, and network providers to address integration or operational issues.
