Job Introduction
We're looking for an experienced and compassionate Lead PBS Practitioner to join our Enhanced Support Team in the North. You will lead and shape high-quality Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies across the region, playing a pivotal role in improving lives and reducing restrictive practices.
Acuity Care Group is a national provider of specialist health and social care services. We deliver person-centred support for individuals with complex needs, including autism, learning disabilities, neurodivergence and mental health conditions.
What you'll be doing:
Leading a regional caseload of individuals with complex behaviours and high support needs Delivering comprehensive assessments and developing evidence-based PBS plans Embedding trauma-informed and person-centred practice within care planning Coaching frontline teams, leading reflective practice, and debrief sessions Liaising with multi-disciplinary teams, commissioners and families Auditing and reviewing PBS interventions to ensure effectiveness Contributing to national PBS strategy and service development
What we're looking for:
A recognised Level 5 PBS qualification (minimum) A degree in Psychology, ABA or related field (desirable) Extensive experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs Confident in using PBS frameworks, functional assessment, and data-led planning Strong communication and coaching skills Comfortable working independently and across a wide geography Familiarity with CQC, MCA, DoLS, and Restraint Reduction Network standards Registration with UK-SBA and/or BPS (desirable)
