Imperium Commodity Search is retained by a market leading commodity brokerage with operations spanning 12+ global offices facilitating over a 1000 commodity and financial professional's becoming one of the most dominant firms across all asset classes. As they continue their structured growth globally, we are assisting the Singapore entity on their aggressive expansion over the next coming months, currently seeking an experience Petrochemical broker to join their established desk covering the APAC markets in both Physical and Derivative markets.
Duties and responsibilities:

• Facilitate trades both Physical and derivative offering voice / electronic execution services for the Petrochemical markets.
• Maintain and develop new and existing relationships with clients across Petrochemical and related markets (Polymers, Glycols, Aromatics, Olefins, Methanol, Styrene Monomers, Propylene, Crude C4, Butene, Methanol, Benzene, Pygas, Heavy Aromatics, MEG etc)
• Work closely with the middle and back-office teams to ensure smooth procedures across trade entry, trade reconciliation OTC and Exchange operational tasks.
• Stay up to date with market insight, analysis and trade movements offering clients and 3rd parties accurate and insightful reports and market data.
• Promote the company's brokerage and financial services, upselling / cross selling the firms (24hr execution desk, Clearing facilities, market leading analytics, Credit facilities, Trading platform etc)
• Work closely with the Singapore and Global Petrochemicals team to continue the groups market coverage, highlighting further development and business opportunities within the Olefins, Aromatics, Chemicals, Plastics sector.

Experience:

• 4 + years' experience in a petrochemicals (Olefins, Aromatics, Chemicals) Broker / Brokering position within a Brokerage, Bank, Financial institute.
• Excellent understanding of both physical and Derivative (Futures, Swaps, Options) Markets.
• Superb network of suppliers, Refiners, Producers, Traders, Financial institutes, Banks, Commercials within the Petrochemical market.
• Good analytical skills with the ability to read and interpret market data and reports as well as an eye for detail in generating internal market advisory and analytics information.
• Proven revenue generation through broker services across either physical or derivative Petrochemical products.
• Good knowledge of the Singaporean and APAC petrochemical markets preferred
• Fluent in English (additional languages beneficial but not essential)
