Job Description

Performs venipuncture for the collection of blood specimens for dispatch to the laboratory. To perform ECG, Vaccinations, Pap Smear & High Vaginal Swab on patients when necessary. Assist the Doctor with general consultations & in-clinic procedures and surgical procedures. Assist the Doctor to dispense medication/consumables independently. Sorts and records all blood specimens collected, and ensures that they are correctly labelled, and dispatched to the Laboratory in the correct mode. Administrative tasks such as patient registration and interview, maintaining accurate patient medical records, and scheduling of appointments. Performing medical duties such as taking blood pressure, height, and weight, checking visual acuity, conducting pregnancy urine tests, filling up forms, and facilitating patient health declarations before getting them to sign off on those forms. Facilitates patient flow by working well with the medical team and having an in-depth understanding of every station within the operational flow. Sorting medical reports & responsible for keeping the stationed area clean and organized. Keeps medical office supplies adequately stocked by anticipating inventory needs, notifying the General Manager if inventory supply runs low, and monitoring equipment such as the blood pressure machine/weighing scale, etc. Assist Business Development Team on the On-site Health Screening projects at client's designated offices or Homes located island-wide in Singapore when necessary. Assist management in improving, identifying, and implementing changes in the work processes of the Phlebotomy / Nurse Service. Maintaining the required level of Standards of procedures, policy, and practices as well as patient care and experience. Orientate and guide new Phlebotomy / Nurse Staff. Carry out efficiently and within the time given, the duties and responsibilities assigned to you, whether in writing or verbally, by the Operations Manager & General Manager. * Ad-Hoc tasks that are given by the Management Team of Mediway Pte Ltd.
