What you will be responsible for:
Assist in block-level physical design including floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis (CTS), and routing.
Support static timing analysis (STA) and help identify and resolve timing violations under guidance.
Learn to analyze and help address routing congestion, area, and power optimization for digital blocks.
Participate in timing ECOs, noise fixing, and fixing of DRC/LVS/ANT/EM violations.
Observe and assist in custom routing tasks for high-speed clocks and differential signals.
Support logic equivalence checks and ensure netlist-to-layout consistency.
Learn about multi-voltage domain implementation using ISO/Level Shifter/Retention cells.
Gain exposure to IR drop analysis (static and dynamic) using standard EDA tools.
Assist with top-level integration tasks, including IO pad placement, power grid (PG) mesh creation, and block-level routing.
How you will stand out:
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Integrated Circuit (IC) Design, Semiconductor Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a related field.
Solid understanding of digital logic design, including combinational/sequential circuits, standard cell architecture, and CMOS fundamentals.
Familiarity with the physical design flow (floorplanning, placement, CTS, routing) and layout design concepts is preferred.
Basic knowledge of the semiconductor manufacturing process, including process nodes, parasitics, and DRC/LVS concepts.
Exposure to static timing analysis (STA), multi-voltage domain design, or power planning is a plus.
Experience or coursework involving programming or scripting (e.g., C, Tcl, Perl, or Python) and working in a Linux/Unix environment.
Good problem-solving skills, eagerness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
