Job Description

Qualifications:


a) Local Shipyard Piping Experience - Minimum 5 years


b) Able to read P&ID and trace lines onboard vessels


c) Physically fit, able to climb scaffolding


d) Leadership and team management skills


e) Problem solving ability and attention to detail


f) Previous pipe labelling experience (Minimum 1 year)





Supervision and Training:


a) Manage a team of labelers, providing guidance and training on proper pipe labelling procedures


b) Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry standards





Planning and Organization:


a) Develop a comprehensive plan for labelling pipes based on project specifications and requirements


b) Coordinate with client representatives and other stakeholders to integrate labelling schedules into overall project timeline.





Quality Control:


a) Conduct regular inspections to verify the accuracy and quality of pipe labels


b) Implement corrective actions when deviations from standards are identified





Documentation:


a) Maintain detailed records of pipe labeling activities, including dates, locations and label specifications


b) Generate reports to update project management on progress and compliance





Material Management:


a) Ensure an adequate supply of labeling materials, such as markers and adhesive labels


b) Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment





Communication:


a) Facilitate clear communication channels between the labeling team and other project stakeholders


b) Address any labeling-related concerns or inquiries promptly.
