Job Description

We have a great opportunity available for a Raw Material Planner to join our Singapore’s supply chain team. You will be responsible for all aspects of managing the raw material planning requirements to effectively meet our customers’ needs and financial objectives. This role will report to the Supply Chain Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

• Raw Material Planning

  • Utilize planning module in JD Edwards (JDE) to order raw materials based on manufacturers recommended price (MRP)

  • Own the planning for all packages and on-site management of trailers as per production requirements

  • Partner with the finished goods production planners to make sure they have the materials they need to execute the production schedule

  • Manage communication of raw material delivery changes with the production planners at Singapore’s facilities

• Master Data

  • Responsible for item and data setup that reflects how we order and manage material movements between facilities including outside warehousing for raw materials

  • Owner of MRP and master data for raw materials

  • Owner of setting safety stock levels to meet the on-time in full (OTIF) business targets for raw materials

• Future Forecasting

  • Develop monthly rolling 12-month raw material forecasts for procurement team by item and/or supplier using JDE and TM1

• Backup for production scheduling, as needed, at either our Singapore facility

Critical Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong computer literacy skills including advanced Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Excel knowledge

• Strong attention to detail and organization skills

• Experience with planning and inventory control techniques

• Strong troubleshooting skills to understand requirement planning

• Customer intimacy mindset

• High levels of sense of urgency

• Ability to clearly and professionally communicate verbally or through e-mail

• Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or formal Continuous Improvement experience is a plus

Education and Experience

• Degree or Diploma in related discipline or its equivalent

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in raw material or production planning
