Job Description

:Responsibilities:The role is to plan, control and organize the production planning functions using the most cost-effective methods possible to minimize line down situation, shorten manufacturing lead time and at the same time, meet customers requirements for quality and timely delivery.

• Schedule jobs to manufacturing according to capacity level and scheduling guidelines.
• Create & release production order.
• Plan and load existing and prospective work in a manner that will meet customers required date.
• Identify and coordinate outsource jobs to create virtue capacity.
• Study customer product specification and order quantity and load in a manner that will optimize machine utilization and maximize inventory turn.
• Expedite and maintenance of all shop orders to fulfill desired deadlines and clean/up-to-date in the computer system.
• Alert Head of Department of potential capacity constraints.
• Maintain communication with Material Planners/Buyers, Business Manager and Production side to get most up-to-date information. In case of unplanned machine down or material non-available situations, make recommendations for alternative actions to minimize schedule delay and minimize additional manufacturing cost.
• Maintain an up-to-date and accurate schedule file at all times.
• Ensure that procedures lay down are complied with.
• Recommend procedural improvements to Supervisor for more efficient workflow.
• Assist Supervisor to drive procedural improvements projects with other departments.
• Prepare and compile reports and documentations where applicable.
• Participates in audits, including ISO.

Requirements:

• Diploma with minimum 3 years of experience in ERP and MRP in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in production planning, expediting, supply chain, logistics in manufacturing is preferred
• Proficient in MS Office and SAP system
• Able to analyze data and pay attention to detail.
• Ability to co-ordinate time-sensitive tasks effectively and be stress-resilient
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective teamwork.
