What you will be working on:You will be required to : a. Take charge and manage complaints on planning infringements related to conserved buildings, carry out investigations. b. Prepare inspection and investigation reports, evaluate the planning offence committed against records (e.g. approved architectural plans, historic records and photographs) and recommend enforcement actions to take c. Document evidence collected including taking photographs and statements as part of investigations and provide testimony in court when necessary d. Administer official correspondences, including enforcement notices and composition fines were necessary e. Provide guidance to offenders on compliance requirements, appeals process and the exercise of statutory powers under Planning Act f. Verify the completion of compliance on the ground, including details/quality of work. g. Coordinate with other government agencies to carry out joint enforcement work h. Coordinate and liaise with community partners e.g. Condo MCSTs, Managing Agents on collaborative enforcement The successful candidate will be offered a 1 year contractWhat we are looking for:a. A polytechnic diploma in civil/structural engineering, mechanical/electrical engineering, architecture, facilities management or such other relevant field. b. In the alternative, candidates without a diploma should possess at least 3 years of experience in enforcement related work. c. Minimum 3 years w orking experience in enforcement related work is an advantage. d. Interest in Singapore's built heritage/conserved buildings is preferred. e. Good analytical, writing, presentation (including generation of pictorial and written reports) and communication skills f. Good investigation skills, have eyes for details and self-driven g. Ability to work independently indoors and outdoors, as well as in a team is a must, h.
