This role will directly contribute to regional growth in APAC, aligning with our global strategy of innovation and excellence. This is an exciting role for a sharp, ambitious Planning Manager to drive innovative media plans for Nike. You'll be at the forefront of crafting impactful campaigns that resonate with youth culture across Southeast Asia and India. This isn't just about planning; it's about ensuring flawless campaign execution, and delivering inspiring work that truly cuts through the noise. We need someone with big ideas and the meticulous attention to detail to bring them to life across both digital and traditional media.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Integrated Media Planning: Building from global brand strategy, you will be required to develop comprehensive media plans for Nike, spanning both digital and traditional channels in India, Philippines and Thailand.
  • Campaign Execution: Work with relevant teams to deploy media campaigns. Demonstrate hands-on understanding of key digital platforms, particularly Meta, TikTok, and Google. Support junior team members with campaign set up to ensure best in class campaign execution.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with the Nike client team and local market Mindshare teams. Discuss your campaign status with confidence to the client in WIP meetings.
  • Market Management: Build strong working relationships with Mindshare teams in local markets (India, Thailand and Philippines) to deliver best in class media execution. Work with them to implement effective ways of working and create a true partnership.
  • Campaign Performance & Optimisation: You'll be responsible for reporting and understanding campaign delivery. You will lead the creation of regular in-flight reporting and will be expected to liaise with your line manager on opportunities for optimization. You will also have the opportunity to share these learnings as input into future campaign strategy.
  • Account Operations: Work with relevant members of the team to facilitate the finance process including oversight of Nike's PO tracker, monthly billing inputs and reconciliations.
  • Creative & Strategic Contribution: Actively contribute to the development of big ideas and inspiring work that aligns with Nike's brand ethos. Work closely relevant stakeholders to present interesting and exciting ideas for Nike campaigns.
Goals for Success:
  • In 3 Months:
  • Establish strong working relationships with key Nike client contacts, internal teams and media partners.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of Nike's media approach and annual plan, past campaign performance across all media channels.
  • In 6 Months:
  • Take ownership of end-to-end client servicing and planning for Nike campaigns, leading weekly client discussions.
  • Proactively build strategies to enhance campaign performance and identify new opportunities (e.g., audience strategies, channel recommendations).
  • Ensure meticulous setting and tracking of campaign KPIs, driving effective optimisation and delivery through internal teams and tech.
  • In 12 Months:
  • Deliver best-in-class client servicing, evidenced by strong client feedback
  • Ensure cost guarantees are met to avoid any malus on the business.
  • Lead specific campaigns as the brand champion, responsible for the full end to end process from strategy through to measurement and optimization.
Skills & Experience:
  • Undergraduate degree in communication, media, or business management (post-graduate/masters preferred).
  • At least 5 years of experience in media planning, with a strong focus on digital media (knowledge of traditional media is also expected.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of tactical media planning concepts, approaches, and issues.
  • Capability to operate effectively in a dynamic, adaptable, agile environment.
