Job Purpose

Within this role, the successful candidate will be a member of the Contracts team in SMRT Trains\' Plans and Development department, ensuring all expenditure and revenue contracts are fit for purpose and ensuring compliance to Rapid Transit Systems License and SMRT corporate manuals and policies.

Responsibilities

• To provide day to day support to Manpower Claims for LTA Projects and other ad-hoc projects, including

o Advisory to project teams on corporate governance compliance, reimbursement process and claims matters
o Ensure timely and accurate billing to the government agencies or any external parties
o Ensure timely reporting of revenue forecast and cost accruals under the projects
o Resolving billing or claims disputes

• To maintain smooth and effective communication between the government agencies and internal stakeholders such as Legal, Finance, IT, Procurement, Maintenance, Operations and Project Teams.
• To improve current processes:

o from identifying issues and challenges, developing plans to implementation of the changes.
o support process improvements programmes (such as KAIZEN)

• To ensure proper tracking and maintenance of documentation in a central SharePoint system, such as Transfer Care Custody and Control (TCCC) Certificate, project bank guarantee and Deed of Warranties
• To provide secretarial services in managing minutes and agenda for monthly department meetings
• To participate in ad hoc assignments as assigned by the Head of Resource Management

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Minimum diploma in Business Administration, Building or Engineering in any discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in Maintenance, Operations and Project management related field.
• Exposure to Legal, Finance or Quantity Surveyor works would be an added advantage.

Skills

• Exposure or experience in the Rail/Transportation Industry is an advantage.
• Self-driven, meticulous, with good time management skills
• Ability to independently handle multiple complex issues concurrently.
• Objective based approach to work and with the ability to set and meet targets.
• Demonstrate flexibility in resolving issues
• Demonstrate innovation and creativity in overcoming challenges and difficulties.
• Ability to demonstrate innovation and creativity.
• Comfortable in dealing with different levels of personnel from technical and frontline staff to Senior Management levels.
• Microsoft literate in the use, functionalities and modules
• Knowledge in SAP and ARIBA would be an advantage
