The Plant Controller is a key leader on the plant leadership team and contributes to all areas of plant management and provide strong financial leadership.

The Plant Controller is responsible for plant budget and business planning activities in alignment with corporate policies and practices.

The incumbent will act as CFO of the plant and provide financial direction including capital allocation and strategic decision support

Managing a team of financial analysts, the Plant Controller must provide coaching and leadership together with development program to ensure talent pipeline for finance ISC organization.

Business Partnering

• Perform financial analysis; identify variances and working with business partners on keeping targets on track and highlighting risks and opportunities
• Collaborates with Plant Leadership Team to explain results, make improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, understand operations and lead the development of complex analysis
• Lead value creation and operational excellence initiatives by challenging business assumptions and processes and by soliciting and understanding customer needs
• Contribute to the achievement of the company\'s business objectives by providing advice and guidance on financial strategy.
• Lead the plant\xe2\x80\x99s comprehensives business planning process, including Long range plans, annual operation plan, quarterly forecasts and new product/ process analysis.
• Provides proactive / unsolicited consultation, interpretation and education of complex financial and operational matters to various departmental leaders used to drive business decisions
• Support future Finance initiatives to improve business partner support and providing relevant business information and professional advice. Develop innovative tools and analysis models to understand profitability, enable business decisions and improve information flow.
• Establish financial policies and procedures.

Management reporting

• Oversee all accounting operations provided by Baxter Business Service (BBS) including Billing, A/R, A/P, G/L, Inventory/Cost Accounting and Revenue Recognition
• Manage month-end closing and prepare monthly financial statements and other operational reports for site
• Prepare forecasts of income statement, balance sheets, and statement of cash flows for the Plant
• Regular review of Financial to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Work closely with operations to keep abreast of activities having financial impact.
• Ensure financial records are in compliance with statutory requirement and GAAP

Streamline & improve finance processes

• Review processes for improvements such as automation, elimination of non-value added activities.
• Create participating environment to encourage team to suggest ideas for improvement.

Corporate Governance and Internal Controls

• Liaise with auditors and divisions for information required for audit.
• Make sure procedures are in place to comply with Corporate Policy to ensure adequacy of internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Strengthen and make recommendation to operations on internal controls.
• Ensure that there are adequate mitigating controls to offset any segregation of duties conflicts.

Talent management

• Lead and manage the finance team in fulfillment of management reporting, Business Partnering, Stakeholder Management, and Internal Control Management
• Review and assess team career development and provide guidance and support to subordinates in their respective job areas.
• Encourage team activities and team participation and regular department meetings and communication.

Qualifications, Skillset & Experience Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
• At least 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 of experience as a finance professional, preferable with cost accounting experience
• Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques as well as proficiency with financial statement analysis and projection
• Demonstrated expertise in MS Office and ORACLE financial software - experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) system is a bonus.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Demonstrate strong and pragmatic business acumen.
• Experience in handling multiple concurrent tasks and meeting strict deadlines.
• Ability to effectively communicate with management, public groups, peers and staff.
• Ability to build productive and collaborative relationships with stakeholders and colleagues across all levels.
• Must demonstrate the highest standards of personal and professional integrity and character and promote ethical business behavior throughout the organization.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams to reach a common goal
• Change Management Experience - ability to lead change in a complex and a highly matrix organization.
