Accountability for the SHE function, which includes compliance with external SHE standards, regulations, and legislation.
Effectively communicate with all employees within the company, on SHE matters and bring to the attention of all employees, including senior management, any SHE issues and suggest appropriate corrective action.
Liaise and develop relationships with external bodies including regulators, auditors, industry bodies, group SHE & emergency services.
Maintain awareness of current SHE Legislation applicable to the business; including Major Hazards Installation, Prevention of Pollution Control, standards, and good SHE management practices.
Training all employees on-site on SHE issues is an integral part of this role.
Maintain a full range of risk control programs and procedures to minimize risk and manage foreseeable emergencies.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to systems and ways of working to improve efficiency and the quality of information from the department.
Manage and oversee SHE-related projects on site, implementation of short to medium-term projects is undertaken alongside
Requirements
Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with MOM
Bachelor\'s Degree in Environmental, Safety, and Health or a related field
Minimum 5 years of safety experience in chemical manufacturing or the oil & gas industry
Detailed understanding of the SHE regulation associated with the operation of the site.
A high level of initiative and motivation as well as being an enthusiastic team player.
Good communication and leadership skills
Attention to detail, good planning, and organizing skill, coupled with the ability to meet deadlines.
