Job Title: PML ENGINEER Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct modification of existing products for new applications to meet customer requirement with minimum supervision
Work well with scientist and R&D lead in research centre in china to provide suitable product to meet customer demand.
Report feedback on results with detailed analysis and recommendations to supervisor and/or team
Analyze problems or customer complaints regarding existing products and assist with formula or process changes for new applications
Supervise PML technicians to support testing work.
Interacts frequently with internal departments to provide basic technical or procedural information
Attend technical conferences, trade shows, and educational courses to remain current in the field.
Follow safety guidelines for handling materials with the use of protective equipment as required
Maintain organization and cleanliness of work area, laboratory instruments and equipment
Handle confidential information with care
Minimal travel to customer side for product intro and support critical customer testing.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education and/or Experience
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Materials Science, chemistry or related field
A minimum of two to four years of laboratory experience are required. The preferred experience should be in Si based PV processing, glass science, organic/inorganic chemistry or related field.
Knowledge and formulation experience of thick film paste/ink is a plus.
The equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Self-starter with an attention to detail required.
Demonstrate a high level of professionalism; exhibit a high level of motivation and initiative.
Familiarity of Six Sigma methodology such as statistical analysis is preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to communicate and comprehend written/oral instructions in English and Chinese.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external stakeholders
Well-developed interpersonal skills; ability to function effectively as part of research and development team.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts as well as hazardous materials/chemicals.
The noise level in the laboratory environment is usually quiet to moderate.
This person will be required as needed to wear Specialized Protective or Safety Equipment such as Eye Protection, Hearing Protection, or Breathing Apparatus.
While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent may be in contact with potentially hazardous materials.

Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards.
Maintain awareness and compliance with all current local, state, and federal Environmental regulations, such as all regulations governing the handling and disposal of Hazardous waste.
