The aim of the project is to explore and retrain deep learning and cutting-edge technology in NLP related algorithms, such as word embedding, search retrieval, BERT models, and large language models (LLMs) for retrieval augmented generation, information detection and topic modelling in healthcare related texts.
Unstructured information represents the vast majority of data available, and natural language processing becomes an important field in data science, to automatically handle text and derive meaning from human languages.
The selected intern will participate in exploring and retraining Natural Language Processing (NLP) algorithms and Large Language Models (LLMs) for healthcare text processing and information retrieval.
Some of the responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Applying text processing and data exploration techniques
• Implementing prompt engineering and fine-tuning of LLMs
• Developing end-to-end pipelines for healthcare-specific NLP tasks

About you:

• Be pursuing a Diploma in Applied AI and Analytics or related discipline
• Graduating in May 2027
• Strong coding skills in Python programming language.
• A keen interest in deep learning algorithms
• Experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub
• Ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Passionate and keen to make a difference to re-imagine the future of HealthTech
