We are currently recruiting for a
Port Captain
to join our RoRo business segment. NYK RoRo is the world's Largest RoRo shipping line with an extensive global network to fulfil our customers' shipping needs. You will be based in Singapore with primary focus at supporting the team to win new business, manage, maintain and grow existing business. You will need to work closely with colleagues in HQ, regional as well as cross division to initial and close business.

JOB OUTLINE
Incumbent is responsible to ensure that the daily port/office activities are in compliance with NYK Group Credo and business policies. He/she reports to the team leader and carry out supporting functions of the division. He/she must ensure timely and accurate response to customer's request,and liaise with each stakeholder (internal/external) for smooth coordination for all transaction.

Qualifications
: Diploma / Degree in Marine Engineering or relevant discipline
Your duties and responsibilities essential for the job:
Coordinate car carrier / cargo operations and work attendance at Port Authority Singapore (PSA).
Support Asia and Oceania regional ports.
Support NYK HQ and other regional offices.
Tally PCC Summary with Stowage Plans including documentation checks.
Conduct training to Stevedores based on NYK's operational and safety standards.
Mentor Stevedores in car carrier / cargo operations.
Support in investigations (if any) for the Asia and Oceania regional ports.
Support in investigations (if any) for the NYK TOKYO HQ and other regional offices.
Submit investigations report (if any) to NYK TOKYO HQ and other regional offices.
Ad-hoc/urgent assignments which arise from unforeseen circumstances.
Any other duties or responsibilities which are essential in the role.
Skills required for the job:
Basic marine technical knowledge & experience for working on board PCC vessel is a MUST.
Proficiency in English and 1 other language to liaise with international customers.
Written and verbal communication skills.
MS Words & Excel.
