What the role is:

The Accountant-General\'s Department (AGD) plays an important role in making Singapore a better place through Finance. At AGD, we aim to be a future-ready leader in transforming Public Sector finance by putting finance at the heart of our decision-making. We do this through building a strong foundation in providing robust financial systems and processes that serve key stakeholders including our pensioners, vendors and the public sector. Our team of accounting professionals work at AGD and are deployed to the public agencies to deliver a wide range of financial and accounting-related services to the Public Service. Together we play a critical role in helping the Government achieve its fiscal and economic objectives through sound stewardship and governance. You will join AGD\'s Financial Reporting & Operations Directorate. The directorate oversees the central finance operations.

What you will be working on:

• You will assist with data analysis (using IT tools) on helpdesk statistics to gain insights into users\' behaviour and events and identify areas of improvement to operations through the use of technology (e.g. LLM, Gen AI, etc.) for the cloud-based helpdesk and service request systems. \xe2\x80\xa2 You will also assist in performing UAT testing of system enhancements and provide support in the preparation, coordination and migration of system projects. \xe2\x80\xa2 Lastly, you may be involved in daily operational work to help you gain understanding of business processes, issues and possible areas of improvement. From the understanding that you have obtained, you will propose methods and establish potential use cases for implementation to improve efficiency and/or automate processes using technology using a data-driven approach.

What we are looking for:

• Strong understanding of digital technologies, data analytics, data visualization, machine learning and automation tools. \xe2\x80\xa2 Possess strong analytical and computation thinking skills with an eye for detail and accuracy, including a good understanding of business process flow. \xe2\x80\xa2 Demonstrate high level of initiative and ability to work independently.
