JOB SUMMARY/ JOB OVERVIEW : We are looking for a Pottery Artist who uses their artistic talents to create pots, dishes, mugs, vases, and other types of artwork. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Pottery tutoring;
- Design pottery classes;
- Plan exhibitions and events including artist workshop;
- Kiln loading and unloading, and firing of ceramic pieces;
- Design and produce AIA ceramic product for retails purposes;
- Sets up, cleans, and demonstrates the use of equipment and instruments;
- Maintains inventories, orders supplies in accordance with purchasing procedures;
- Monitors safety and security of work area, equipment, supplies, and materials;
- Maintains cleanliness of work area;
- Any other assigned ad-hoc duties.
- Candidates with at least a diploma or degree in 3D art-related qualifications, especially pottery or in any related field
- Possess intermediate knowledge of ceramics (throwing, trimming, and glazing);
- Able to make sake sets and teapot sets;
- Experience with teaching ceramics will be an absolute advantage;
- Passionate about working in the ceramics industry;
- Responsible and well-organized;
- Good communication skills and enjoy interacting with customers;
- A team player;
- Willing to work weekends and public holidays;
- Meticulous, good organizational and documentation skills.
