\xe2\x80\xa2 Bachelor\'s Degree (BA/BS) required in Engineering/Business or other technical field. \xe2\x80\xa2 Sound understanding of different Electrical Bus bar schemes and Substation layouts. \xe2\x80\xa2 Sound understanding of local grid codes, grid connectivity procedures, grid application procedures, standards of performance of Distribution / Transmission Utilities. \xe2\x80\xa2 7+ years of experience with strong execution capabilities in developing and delivering MV/HV Power infrastructure projects in a planning or project management role. \xe2\x80\xa2 Possess strong organizational, communication and team building skills. Must build strong working relationships, both internally and externally stakeholders. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to self-start and self-motivate in a dynamic environment. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in budgeting and analyzing cost/benefit trade-offs across a strategic portfolio.

Amazon is looking for a results-oriented energy projects manager to join the AWS Energy Team. In this role, you will be responsible to program manage & deliver large scale critical HV(&gt66kV) power infrastructure projects for AWS data centers in South East Asia (SEA). The ideal candidate for this role will have high-level technical understanding of HV substation projects including transmission infrastructure and experience in delivering substation projects from design to energization. The candidate must be able to manage multiple large-scale power infrastructure projects across different countries. The candidate will also be required to evaluate data center sites & develop power infrastructure strategies to serve those sites. The candidate will work with internal & external stakeholders including engineering, real estate, planning teams, government utilities, contractors, design consultants etc to deliver his/her responsibilities.

This role is based out of Singapore. 30% travel may be required.

Key job responsibilities

• Manage transmission & distribution electricity utilities, project management consultants, right of way (easements), substation contractors and owner\'s engineers for transmission works & substations to deliver MV & HV power infrastructure on time, on budget and to specifications.
• Manage and co-ordinate with internal stakeholders inclusive of Planning, Real estate, Design, Procurement, Construction, Finance, Operations & Commissioning teams
• Managing Utility Contracts/retail agreements \xe2\x80\x93 Entering into connection agreement, Contracting the right capacity to optimize on power purchase costs
• Due Diligence of new Data Center sites to check Power availability for new sites; Study understand and have view on Power Infrastructure planning by Transmission / Distribution Utility; Cost & timelines for extension of power infrastructure projects to sites.
• Monitoring of Power Infrastructure reliability indices SAIFI/SAIDI and take corrective action by working with Operations, Power Utilities to improve the same.
• Develop and execute energy strategies that leverage capital projects (utility grid connections, high voltage substations, energy storage, etc) to reduce long term energy costs.
• Identify and develop innovative cost savings projects and initiatives related to Power Infrastructure and supply.
• Work with utility regulators to develop policies and guidelines that enable broader AWS strategies and objectives.
