By choosing a career with us, you can expect a challenging and fulfilling role surrounded by people who are passionate and have brilliant ideas about sustainable technology, innovation and making the world a better place.What You\'ll do (the role)SummaryThe APAC Energy Markets team plays a critical role in originating, negotiating, and securing contracts to drive value and manage revenue streams for LSbp\'s renewable energy and storage projects and developing strategies to optimize the APAC generation portfolio.As the PPA Originator in the Asian region, you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the origination and hedging strategies to support the LSbp generation and storage pipeline and portfolio in the Asian region.You will lead activities for securing CPPAs, and other relevant risk management agreements in the target Asian markets. Your scope will include energy marketing, origination and structuring, and the negotiation of CPPAs with utilities and corporates.You will be an integral member of the LSbp APAC Energy Markets team, and working closely with our in-country colleagues, to contract the output of new renewable energy projects. You will work closely with our New Markets development specialists, based in Singapore, evaluating market entry opportunities.Duties and responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and lead the execution of the origination and hedging strategy for LSbp\'s Asian generation and storage portfolio.
• Secure bankable PPAs, energy storage agreements, and other contractual structures to optimize generation revenues and manage risk.
• Evaluate market conditions, counterparty feedback and outlook to understand market and policy changes, identify and capitalize on new business opportunities in the Australian and New Zealand energy sectors and identify new routes to market.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including development, structured finance, operations and legal) to ensure alignment of commercial strategies with operational capabilities, in addition to maximizing financing options for new projects.
• Develop and manage strong commercial relationships with counterparties and other key stakeholders across the sector to stay informed of customer needs, support profitable origination activities and position the Lightsourcebp brand prominently in the market.
• Monitor and report market conditions and policy changes impacting the LSbp strategy in the Asian markets.
• Provide regular updates and briefings to senior management on market conditions and commercial opportunities to support new market entry and contracting for development projects across the target Asian markets.

Who we\'re looking forKnowledge

• Knowledge of and experience in at least, but preferably more than one, energy sector in selected Asian countries such as - South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, India and Thailand.
• Knowledge of offtakers and demand for utility scale renewables offtake.
• Experience and track record in originating energy PPAs and energy storage agreements.
• Demonstrated analytical and commercial acumen, with a track record of identifying and evaluating opportunities, risks, and structures to support energy development.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Relevant degree in finance, business, engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.

• Experience
• Significant experience in at least one of the target Asian energy sectors (as noted above).
• Origination and negotiation of complex energy and storage offtake arrangements.
• Demonstrable experience in new market analysis and building and executing market entry strategies.
• Experience working cross functionally with small teams to deliver detailed market analytics and new market entry strategies.
• Demonstrable experience building key client reliant relationships within the energy sector and Corporate PPA environments.
• Previous energy analytics experience is highly desirable.
