Role Overview

We are looking for a technically adept and energetic

Pre?Sales Engineer

to spearhead the scoping and design of BMS and EMS systems for both new constructions and retrofit projects. In this role, you will convert customer needs into technically sound, compliant, and cost-efficient solutions that support Singapore's regulatory framework and sustainability targets.

You will need to deeply understand the ENX Sustainability Suite -- its architecture, integration options, and how it works with various field devices. You will partner closely with our Sales and Engineering teams to drive sales by scoping and designing solutions throughout the sales cycle -- from proposal development through contract signing.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Scoping & Design

Work with clients and partners to assess operational requirements, site conditions, and energy objectives Design technical solutions and propose system architectures suitable for BMS/EMS deployments Interpret client needs into designs that deliver measurable energy savings Conduct site surveys for retrofit assessments and identify areas with energy optimization potential

Technical Consultation & Demonstration

Perform product demonstrations and lead technical workshops for stakeholders Provide guidance on system interoperability, scalability, and regulatory compliance (e.g., BCA, PUB, NEA)

Tender & Proposal Support

Draft detailed scope of work, BOM (Bill of Materials), and functional specs Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to align proposal deliverables and timelines Develop compelling, competitive proposals

Vendor & Technology Assessment

Evaluate third?party hardware for compatibility, reliability, and performance Recommend appropriate sensors, controllers, and IoT devices for different deployment use cases

Stakeholder Engagement

Liaise with consultants, facility managers, and procurement teams to define requirements Coordinate with consultants and contractors to deepen understanding of our solution offerings Work with partners to shape and deliver winning proposals Support post?sales transition with thorough documentation and technical training Train and mentor partner engineering teams in implementation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting

Project Implementation Support

Assist field engineers during deployment phases to ensure smooth delivery

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services) or related discipline At least 5 years' experience in pre-sales, solution engineering, or systems design, preferably in BMS/EMS Practical experience with electrical and water sub-metering, lighting controls, and ACMV systems Working knowledge of building automation protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, MQTT Solid understanding of networking, including routers, switches, LTE, and wireless networks Familiarity with Singapore's building regulations, energy codes, and Green Mark certification Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of simplifying complex technical ideas

Preferred Skills

Certification such as SCEM or Singapore Energy Auditor Experience in energy analytics, smart metering, or metering platforms Knowledge of chilled water systems, lighting control architecture, and ACMV operations Exposure to control systems used in HVAC (ACMV) environments
