To plan and implement the curriculum under the guidance of the Centre Supervisor to ensure a well-run, purposeful, engaging and child-centered programme responsive to children\xe2\x80\x99s needs and aligned to the principles spelt out in the standard ECE Framework.
Create a learner environment where children can explore, experiment, and interact to learn.
Participate actively in assessing the needs of the children.
Work with and support the Centre Supervisor and other staff at the Centre in enhancing the quality of children\xe2\x80\x99s educational experiences.
Contribute one\xe2\x80\x99s talents and professional expertise towards the centre\xe2\x80\x99s initiatives, educational programmes, and projects.
Establish good relationships with parents as partners in care and education.
Keep abreast of the latest educational development and to continually upgrade one\xe2\x80\x99s skills and knowledge.
Be involved in simple action research projects.
Role-model professionalism in appearance, speech, and action.
Create a safe learning environment and to provide the best possible care to children under their charge.
Attending courses/seminars/training recommended by the centre and fulfilled at least 20 hours of CPD hours recommended by ECDA.
Assisting with any other administrative matters assigned by the Senior Teacher and Centre Supervisor as and when required.
Handing in evaluations for the week and new lesson plan for the following week on a weekly basis on every Friday to the Senior Teacher.
Lesson Observation will be done 2 times a year
E-Newsletter will need to be prepared and email to Centre Supervisor once a term
E-Portfolio will need to be prepared with photos of the children, email to Centre Supervisor and once vetted, emailed to all parents
Discharging of event in charge and duties assigned to the best capabilities
Job Requirement
Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education (Teaching) or its equivalent with 5 GCE \xe2\x80\x98O\xe2\x80\x99 Levels with English at Grade B4.
Must be L1/L2 Certified
Classroom management skills (classroom leadership, classroom management and organization)
Possess good knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
Able to organize learning activities that provide for the holistic development of the child.
Able to arouse children\xe2\x80\x99s interest in learning and sustain their curiosity to explore and learn through the creation of a safe and stimulating environment.
Enjoy working with young children and passionate about care and pre-school education.
Able to work with initiative and independently and possess effective problem-solving skills.
Possess basic counselling skills
Preferably someone that lives on the east side of the island
Able to start work immediately will be an added advantage
