About Agora Early Years



Agora Early Years is a play-based enrichment programme. At Agora Early Years, one of the key features is its inclusion of parents and caregivers. The program provides training and support for parents, whilst also creating an environment for them to connect with one another and share their experiences and insights.





About the role



At Agora Early Years, our Preschool Teacher is instrumental in creating a secure and positive learning environment for children. Teachers must work in a respectful manner with children, to help build trust. Through the creative design, and adaptation of our curriculum, teachers will enrich learning and work closely with all stakeholders to help build strong partnerships with families and the community. A reflective teaching practice will add to the constantly evolving programme, keeping it current and up to date. Teachers must demonstrate good communication and collaborative skills as they add to the centre's culture of teamwork by fostering good relations with colleagues.





Responsibilities



Design quality learning environments through adapting exciting curriculum based on the 6 core domains of Cognition, Inquiry, Personal Effectiveness, Values/ Virtues, Empathy and Being imparting the core values of an early childhood education via classroom and curriculum. Aid in a culture of constant learning and teamwork, taking part in constant learning and reflective practices. Refine teaching and learning ways that follow curriculum frameworks. Carry out teaching and learning plans to meet the diverse needs of children. Refine classroom management plans, and watch and document children's learning. Co-lead team projects with people involved with the school. Follow health, safety, nutritional, hygiene standards and rules. Raise the level of trust and respect with children via interaction. Understand the learning and developmental needs of young children (6 months to age 6). Uphold the vision, mission and values of the centre.
