Job Description

Role Description: This position requires the individual to learn and apply the Montessori pedagogy in addition to the skills required for teachers under the Skills Framework for pre-school teachers. The individual will be equipped to teach and nurture young children from 18 months to 6 years, using the centre's individualised and brain-based strategies and programmes to help educate and develop the young preschoolers.

Specific Responsibilities: 1.The Trainee shall prepare and implement the programmes and age-appropriate teaching aids in line with Montessori pedagogy and NEL Framework.The Trainee will plan, supervise and deliver the programmes in accordance with the policies, guidelines, frameworks of the Company 2.The Trainee shall Complete the tracking sheets each week, progress reports of the children for each semester and prepare a developmental portfolio for every child. 3.The Trainee shall be responsible for the upkeeping of teaching resources, arrangement, appearance, decorations, and learning environment of the classroom. 4.The Trainee shall be responsible for all aspects of classroom management and carry out routine care duties to ensure safety and hygiene of the children 5.The Trainee shall Identify behavioral problems and developing appropriate strategies to address them.The Trainee shall also use positive discipline techniques at all times.

Build rapport with parents 4.Maintenance of teaching resources 5.Good compliance to health and safety measures 6. Effectively and actively supervise children

Duration of Attachment Offered: 6 months.

However, if the candidate is confirmed suitable at the end of 3 months, a permanent position with commensurate pay increase will be offered.
