It has more than 600 employees spread across global locations in the UK, US, China, India, Singapore, Brazil, Belgium, Finland and beyond.The RoleFastmarkets is looking for a Price Reporter to report on the voluntary carbon markets in Asia. We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, driven, and have a passion to be part of a fast-paced, successful team. We expect our reporters to develop a high level of market expertise in certain niche sectors, publish quality prices and insightful content in line with the company\'s PRA approach, and work within a regional and global team to support the development and adoption of Fastmarkets\' prices and embrace our EEI strategy (Expertise, Engagement & Innovation).Principal accountabilities\xc2\xb7 Foster in-depth knowledge of the voluntary carbon markets across nature and tech-based solutions, including fundamentals, policy, market trends, and key participants to generate representative prices and world-class content\xc2\xb7 Collect pricing data and set prices in line with the company\'s robust methodology, price specifications and IOSCO principles\xc2\xb7 Back colleagues up on their pricing patches to provide cover and consistency for the market and build up a wider knowledge base\xc2\xb7 Peer review prices to verify that processes have been followed and editorial judgement applied correctly to ensure our prices are representative\xc2\xb7 Write market commentaries, breaking news and insightful copy with PRA angles, to support the growth in readership and the use of Fastmarkets\' prices in physical and financial contracts.\xc2\xb7 Manage and expand the number of industry contacts that submit pricing data and give news exclusives, using all means of communication including face-to-face meetings and networking\xc2\xb7 Handle questions from contacts and the market about the dynamics of particular pricing sessions, seeking guidance from senior reporters or section editor when inquiries are sensitive, to make our processes and judgement transparent to the market\xc2\xb7 Assist the section editor to review and manage the existing pipeline of prices and identify new price launch opportunities\xc2\xb7 Help foster Fastmarkets\' prices and expertise through the team\'s market engagement plan, which includes producing PRA content, white papers and infographics, participating to internal and external events, promoting the company on social media, and attending industry meetings.Key interfaces\xc2\xb7 Work within a global team to develop prices, news and market commentary.\xc2\xb7 Reports to regional editor, team leader or regional managing editor, depending on regions and commodity sectors.\xc2\xb7 Work with other functions when necessary while maintaining the required segregation between editorial and commercial activities; support Fastmarkets events in relevant commodity sector and partner with the strategy and market development team to support price adoption campaigns and exchange listings.QualificationsWe recruit talented, dynamic people with diverse backgrounds and experiences, all united by a belief in our mission to provide the world\'s leading and most trusted price reporting, events, and intelligence service for the markets we serve.
