Primary & Secondary Math & Science Specialist We are looking for experienced educators and passionate Mathematics & Science enthusiasts to join us to bring the joy of learning to more children and teenagers. Sharing Prior Industry Experiences & Your Stories - How to ignite the love for learning in your students Think happy, curious students who are engaged and participating in class! Your stories besides real world knowledge and most importantly preparedness will allow you to hold your students' interest. In hybrid classes, with students both on-site and online, the difference you make in your lesson is the relevance you're able to share. Partnership & communicating - To effect grades improvement, a partnership between parent, student and teacher has to be forged, especially for students in the younger years. We make meaningful connections with students and communicate to parents on their children's learning progress along with feedback on learning gaps and propose ways on how to improve further. MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS We are looking for a talented tutor who excels in Mathematics and Science /Chemistry/Biology/Physics (any of the disciplines will be great!) , and passionate about teaching. The tutor's responsibilities will include preparing lessons that are appropriate, checking in with students for upcoming assessments, and providing parents with progress updates. To be a successful tutor, you must be punctual, friendly and approachable. A good tutor will make students feel comfortable to share what they are struggling with and find innovative solutions to help his/ her students overcome their challenges. Roles & Responsibilities Remain up-to-date with MOE syllabus and subject-specific curriculum and content Working with students to help them understand key concepts, especially those learned in the classroom Teaching skills to improve academic performance, including study strategies, note-taking skills and approach to answering test questions Developing and distributing teaching materials to supplement classroom lessons, including study guides Conducting practice tests to track progress, identify areas for improvement and help set goals for exam preparation Providing students constructive feedback Maintain communication with parents to update them on student's progress Creating relevant content to engage students and parents on our respective social media platforms The Heart To Serve: For one, you must definitely enjoy interacting with students besides imparting knowledge to effect transformation (mindset and/or few grades jump) because no one would like to be in a dull classroom learning Physics & Mathematics week in, week out. Professional Development Training is provided during your first 6 months at The Collective Knowledge to increase proficiency and confidence in subject content and classroom management. Let's have fun learning together! Location Tampines & Bishan Working Hours 5 Weekdays + 1 Weekend (6 - 9 hours per day)
