Technical/Functional Responsibilities:

\xc2\xb7 Lead responsibility for technical direction of a group of engineers or functions as a technical specialist formulating and developing advanced engineering concepts, techniques, and standards. The Principal Electrical Engineer develops solutions to complex problems that require a high degree of innovation and ingenuity.

\xc2\xb7 Has understanding of principles, theories, concepts and industry practices and local standards and their application. The principal electrical engineer is expected to provide technical guidance to a group of lead engineers.

\xc2\xb7 The Principal Electrical Engineer is expected to perform the duties of Lead Engineer in a large sized project or in number of mid-sized projects under him / her.

\xc2\xb7 Should be able to guide lead engineers in performing the following activities as a minimum: -

\xc3\xbc Electrical Engineering calculations,

\xc3\xbc Electrical system studies in ETAP / SKM

\xc3\xbc Specification / datasheets / Requisitions for Electrical equipment

\xc3\xbc Engineering for Equipment / Cable / Earthing / Lighting layouts.

\xc3\xbc Electrical Vendor drawings checking

\xc3\xbc 3D Model reviews

\xc3\xbc Experience in Smart Plant Electrical / Aveva Electrical - preferred

\xc2\xb7 He / she is responsible for:

\xc3\xbc Timely completion of designs, requisitions and engineering deliverables

\xc3\xbc Supporting construction work with solutions to site problems / issues

\xc3\xbc Assisting Sales department in making proposals of small scale projects with scope write up and work hour estimate

\xc3\xbc Assisting Department Manager in standardization/ development work

Requirements:

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical Engineering

\xc2\xb7 Minimum 15 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience of electrical design in design consultancy firm or engineering department of refinery/petrochemical industry.
