An exciting Principal Electronic Hardware Architect job has opened up to develop hardware platforms, create innovative designs, ensure compliance, collaborate with product management, mentor junior engineers, and maintain design compliance.

About the Principal Electronic Hardware Architect Role:
In this business critical Principal Electronic Hardware Architect role, you will be part of an established team focusing on measurement products and solutions engineering staff to ensure proper architecture, design, and specifications are met that combine customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop the plan, path forward, and life cycle of new hardware platforms
• Create innovative designs based on market, customer, and company needs
• Generate detailed test plans to ensure product compliance with requirements
• Collaborate with product management to create NPD and PLM requests
• Review engineering change requests (ECRs) for compliance with requirements
• Mentor and train junior engineers on products, design, and development

• Ensure design compliance with relevant regulations and codes

To succeed in this Principal Electronic Hardware Architect role, you must have experience with analogue/digital circuit design, PCB, and embedded microprocessors/FPGA.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience with 10 years in the field. An advanced degree is a plus

• Advanced expertise in analogue and digital circuit design

• Advanced proficiency in PCB design software, with experience in Altium PCB Design Software being advantageous

• Advanced knowledge of testing methodologies and test design

• Advanced experience in designing and developing embedded microprocessors/FPGAs
• Proficiency in DSP selection, utilisation, and integration

• Familiarity with IIOT devices, product certification, product safety standards, auditing practices, and relevant guidelines. Additionally, knowledge of software tools like TeamCenter, SAP, MathCad, Matlab, Python, PLC languages, and ISO 9001:2015 compliance is valuable. Understanding of flow measurement equipment and practices according to industry standards like API is also important
