We are continuously looking for team players who will stop at nothing to deliver state-of-the-art solutions as part of Team Rapsodo.As a Principal Engineer, Middleware, you will design, develop, and optimize robust middleware solutions that enable seamless integration across our diverse software applications and systems. You will ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our middleware architecture, enhancing the performance of Rapsodo's cutting-edge sports analytics products. Working across cross-functional teams, you will drive innovation, streamline data flow, and enable efficient system communication, directly impacting how athletes and coaches access and leverage real-time insights.:

• Architect and Develop Middleware Solutions: Design and implement robust middleware architectures that facilitate efficient data exchange and integration across various platforms, enhancing the functionality of Rapsodo's sports technology products.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software development, data analytics, and product management, to understand integration requirements and deliver scalable middleware solutions that align with business objectives.
• Optimize System Performance: Monitor and analyze middleware performance, implementing enhancements to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability of Rapsodo's applications.
• Ensure Security and Compliance: Implement robust security measures and ensure middleware solutions comply with industry standards and regulations, safeguarding sensitive sports performance data.
• Mentor and Lead: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the middleware engineering team.
• Stay Abreast of Technological Advances: Keep up-to-date with emerging middleware technologies and industry trends, making recommendations for new tools and practices to enhance our technology stack.

Requirements

• Educational Background: Masters or PH.D. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in middleware engineering or software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in middleware technologies such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or MuleSoft, and experience with programming languages like Java, C#, or Python.
• Integration Knowledge: Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices, and API management.
• Cloud and Containerization: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with a track record of resolving complex middleware issues.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
