DESIGNATION : Principal Engineer (M&E)



RESPONSIBILITIES

Purpose of the role

To conduct maintenance activities to ensure high level of operability and reliability of M&E systems in Mediacorp Campus.

Scope of the role

Attend and resolve daily operational matters with regard to M&E systems and liaise with Estate Management for areas that required interface To perform standby duties outside office hours to support servicing work and continuity of services at major events and / or "live" transmission of critical programmes Able to interpret single line diagram, control schematic and perform trouble shooting and hands on for minor repair Stay contactable 24 x 7 for prompt attention to critical abnormalities

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the execution of electrical project and maintenance works (UPS, generators, HT and LT switchgears, transformers, battery chargers, etc) on-site Coordinate with consultants, contractors and suppliers to ensure timely completion of works Prepare tender documents for maintenance contracts and project works Responds to BMS alerts, investigate and feedback on any outstanding issues or events and respond to emergency situations and be on standby duty if required Technical supervision of the operation, maintenance and repair of all mission critical equipment and systems supporting 24x7 activities to achieve 100% uptime Maintain compliance with local workplace safety & health (WSH) standards and local codes Provide guidance to junior engineers in the electrical team




QUALIFICATIONS

Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with minimum 5 to 8 years' relevant experience Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in power monitoring and control systems Proficiency in the operation and maintenance of generators and UPS systems Familiarity with lighting systems and their design, installation, and troubleshooting * In-depth understanding of high-voltage and low-voltage switchgears
