Wood is currently recruiting for a Principal Process Engineer with extensive experience in pharmaceutical and bio-pharma industry to support our growing operations in Singapore. You will be responsible to ensure that process engineering activities on assigned projects are executed within budgeted manhours and approved schedules in compliance with project procedures, standards and specifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Driving technical excellence and assurance
Carry out process engineering design activities, following client and Amec Foster Wheeler standards and procedures to schedule and budget
Develop, review, and take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of Process engineering deliverables
Ensure Amec Foster Wheeler and Client Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures are followed and that a high standard of safety is achieved in all associated work.
Remain up to date with the latest technical developments in your fields of expertise
Demonstrate, provide and develop appropriate technical solutions for specific project issues
Provide technical expertise and support to business winning activity as required
Perform Technical assurance review of process engineering activity on projects and support internal development and continuous improvement activity as required
Identifies and mitigates areas of risk and improvement opportunities
Ensure the delivery of challenging project and client targets using sound technical knowledge and decision making skills
Managing and leading, supporting and supervising the multidiscipline engineering team
Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the activities and operations of a Process engineering team
Assist in the management of recruitment, selection, performance management of Team
Ensuring appropriately resourced and competent personnel on Project/Contract
Management of key stakeholders in the execution and delivery of contracted activities.
Responsible for the overall Process engineering content for assigned contracts/projects
Manage and direct Process Team efficiently and effectively
Personally participates in solving difficult technical problems Accountable for the efficient planning and management of resources, identifying ad pursuing opportunities for margin improvement, including HVEC utilization.
Undertaking the role of process owner
Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the Pharma Process technical work performed in the department
Conduit for regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
Chemical/ Bio Chemical Engineering degree (minimum)
Minimum Experience:
Typically requires 10+ years progressive experience in discipline engineering
Typically requires few years of supervisory experience with an understanding of human relations, training, performance evaluation and health and safety
Role-Specific Skills and Knowledge:
Broad and extensive knowledge of multipurpose and dedicated API facilities including Pilot Plants, Multi product and Modular facilities
Good knowledge of Chemical and Fermentation based API plants and Biopharma plants as well as all supporting pharmaceutical grade and site utilities
Well versed with Concept Design, Basic Design and Detail engineering with high level knowledge in pharmaceutical (API & Bio)/chemical processes
Hands on experience in process simulation soft-wares like Aspen Hysis, SuperPro, Schedule-pro etc.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing people at all levels of the organization.
