Principal Power Electronics EngineerSummary:At specialized we are committed to innovate and provide the best performance bicycle that benefit and improve our riders supporting our purpose to pedal the planet forward and contribute toward green environment. To strengthen our newly setup e-Bike electronics team in Singapore which working closely with team based in Europe, we are seeking for experience and passionate Principal Power Electronics engineer that would be great if obsessed specifically with development of bicycles or electric mobility solution. In this role you will be at the forefront of architecting and developing solutions for state-of-the-art motor drive hardware, BMS and other power electronics solution within an e-Bike system.How you will make a difference

• Translating system requirements into an efficient solutions of motor drive circuit, BMS, charger and other power electronics solutions.
• Design, simulate and analyse circuitry using following tools such as Altium/Mentor Expedition/SIMETRIX or LT SPICE
• Having a solid understanding of selection and integrating Power electronics devices such as MOSFET, SiC, IGBT, Gate driving, Battery AFE and HW secondary protection, DC/DC conversion topology into required power electronics solution
• Practical experience in thermal management, Safe operating area, Component derating as well as hands on experience of thermal simulation tools such as FloTherm, Ansys ICEPACK, etc
• Proven track record in designing electronics hardware with \xe2\x80\x9cfirst time right\xe2\x80\x9d concept meeting safety, thermal, performance and EMC/ESD
• Having good knowledge of FuSa (Functional Safety) standard and relevant safety type testing for Motor, Battery pack and Charger
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, Having a good relationship of electronics devices manufacturer/supplier networks.
• Proactively identify technical risks within projects, participate and excited about collaborating with cross functional team mates to ensure project delivery on time, spec, cost & quality
• Act as subject matter expert (SME) in specific domain, disseminating knowledge, guiding and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and knowledge sharing to facilitate their professional growth and development.

• Master or Degree in Electronic/Electrical or related fields
• Minimum 15 years of proven work experience & preferably working in R&D organisation of consumer electronics, consumer appliance or automotive product.
• Singaporean or Singapore PR candidate would be priority.
• Practical hands-on experience designing BMS circuitry, BLDC motor drive circuitry, Power electronics/power supply circuitry, and other power electronics system.
• Good knowledge on standard such as UL2595, IEC6100 EMC test suite. Knowledge of e-bike standard such as UL2849 or EN15194 would be an advantage.
• Experience in FMEA, documentation and testing of Motor drive circuitry according to meet UL1004 or another relevant regulatory/compliance standard.
• Knowledge of JIRA/Confluence or knowledge in similar Agile Project Management tool
• Ability to multitask effectively among different projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Independent, Integrity and self-driven with a strong focus on results to ensure that the whole team succeeds in its goals.
• Excellent English skills (written and spoken)
