The Role:
The Principal Business Analyst, SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM) will be a core member of the Cognex Business Applications Team within IT working closely with the business organization to drive continuous improvement by developing timely and innovative solutions. This role will work closely with business groups to understand business problems, issues, and priorities and will provide production support activities as well as new functional enhancements and global project implementations. The successful candidate will have experience implementing, supporting, and enhancing solutions on the SAP platform within Procure to Pay, Inventory Management, Demand to Supply, Extended Warehouse Management and Integrated Business Planning. Collaboration with other SAP functional and development teams to design, develop, test, and implement appropriate configuration within SAP S/4 MM, PP and IBP is essential.

Responsibilities:
The Principal Business Analyst, SAP SCM is responsible for software-specific design and realization, as well as testing, deployment and support in the SAP S/4 MM, PP, EWM and IBP module areas. This includes designing end to end process solutions, writing RICEF documents, working with developers, configuring S/4 MM, PP, EWM and IBP functionality, unit testing, working with business users for user acceptance testing, performing cutover tasks, identifying master data and ongoing process impacts, and providing ongoing support. Identifying integration points and working with other SAP Functional and Technical team members to ensure solution success is a critical responsibility.

Key Experience Requirements:

• 
  6+ years functional experience with SAP Materials Management (MM) and Production Planning (PP) module
• 
  4+ years SAP configuration experience, preferably with experience in S/4.
• 
  Functional experience with SAP IBP demand planning
• 
  Knowledgeable on MM and PP master data
• 
  Knowledgeable on EWM master data and processes.
• 
  Functional experience with integration with Sales and Distribution (SD) and Financial Accounting (FI)
• 
  Experienced with Available to Promise (ATP), with an understanding of the integration with Sales and Distribution (SD)
• 
  Working knowledge of Purchase Orders and Scheduling agreements, stock transport orders, intercompany procurement, inbound deliveries, discrete production, make to order production, variant configuration, material requirements planning (MRP), shop floor control, inventory management and IBP for demand planning
• 
  Working knowledge of Release Procedures (Release procedures used in PR/PO) & Output determination of PO/SA
• 
  Experience in a full cycle global SAP implementation or SAP system upgrade following a waterfall or agile methodology
• 
  Experience in understanding and gathering Business rules, Business requirements and end user cases
• 
  The candidate must be able to design processes and sub-processes and to think through the implications of those designs taking integration with Sales and Distribution (SD) and Financial Accounting (FI) into account. Also, must be able to provide cross functional flow diagrams depicting the integrated process
• 
  Create functional requirements within a RICEF (Reports Interfaces Conversion Enhancement and Form) document and work collaboratively with a developer to deliver an effective solution
• 
  Must be detail oriented, self-directed and have strong independent problem-solving skills
• 
  Proven ability to work independently and collaborate closely with others to accomplish business objectives in a fast-paced environment
• 
  Time management skills are a must; as well as the ability to be flexible and creative.

  Strong oral and written communication skills

  Experience with ShipERP is a plus
• 
  Experience with GTS is a plus
• 
  Experience processing outbound deliveries and shipments is a plus

  Experience with handling units is a plus

  Experience with Personas is a plus

  Experience implementing SRM, Ariba or Coupa is a plus
•
