Overview
This role reports into the Global Head of Regulatory Assurance ("RA") as part of the Regulatory Solutions Group. The Regulatory Solutions Group provides end to end regulatory compliance solutions to the first Line of Defense ("LOD") and functionally sits within Technology Compliance within the 1 st Line.
The incumbent will be responsible all RA processes within APAC in terms of risk identification, treatment, monitoring and reporting with regards to regulatory implementation. This role supports Global Operations and Technology in Assurance related activities with the objective of adhering to Regulatory and Corporate Requirements.
You are required to collaborate with various risk and process owners; coordinates the issue and remedial action arising from RA activities with the stakeholders accordingly. Where necessary, you will collaborate with the relevant 2 nd line risk and compliance colleagues in the furtherance of the role deliverables.
Currently, this role would support the Global Head of RA in building out the RA function. This would include supporting in the development of RA methodology, process automation and related RA governance activities.

Responsibilities:
As the APAC RA lead, this role provides strategic coverage for the APAC region working with the senior Operations and Technology leads spanning multiple Legal Entities and jurisdictions
Oversees the development and implementation of RA book of work in APAC, taking into consideration risk prioritization and evolving regulatory landscape
Directs, influences, and works closely with the functional control teams that are responsible for regulatory implementation across Operations and Technology
Monitors results on key risks, errors/near misses, reconciliations, and root cause analysis arising from RA reviews
Produce high quality insights memorandum which utilizes in-depth knowledge of market trends to determine potential risks to the organization. Manages analysis and draws conclusions in order to recommend any resulting change needed to mitigate risk.
Responsible for tracking of open RA observations and validating closure of remedial actions
Where relevant, attendance/participation in key fora to present RA metrics or issues.
Ensures APAC objectives are aligned to functional objectives.
Collaborate globally with other Regional RA leads to ensure a consistent delivery of RA objectives
Qualifications
Min 10 years of total experience in IT Risk, Compliance, Audit and/or InfoSec
Experience with financial services compliance and/or experience with the assigned products, services or business lines/areas and the pertaining laws, regulations and rules of relevant regulators preferred.
Experience with regulatory reporting requirements
Experience and understanding of Assurance and Testing Frameworks
Proficiency in written and spoken English (It would be a plus if the candidate understands another Asian language - Mandarin/Japanese/Korean) to support the APAC segments
Excellent time management and written/verbal presentation skills
Drive to execute and ability to solve challenges independently as well as drive projects / initiatives to completion
Excellent stakeholder management and communication (Verbal and written) skills
Confidence to respectfully challenge stakeholders
Ability to quickly adopt to quick changes
Ability to summarize complex operations and technology issue
Plus, optionally:
Data Analytics experience
Project Management experience
Information risk and/or security qualification/Compliance/Audit (CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CISM, CPA or equivalent preferred)
