THE ROLE
The Principal Consultant (Technical) is responsible for coordinating and ensuring successful implementation of their technical area of expertise within Temenos suite of product. The Principal Consultant (Technical) plays the role of interface between the project team and the Client, and ensures that all actions are taken to fully satisfy the Client in all aspects of a technical nature. The Principal Technical Consultant is also responsible for providing guidance and coaching to less experienced Technical Consultants.
OPPORTUNITIES
You will specialize in two or more of the following technical areas:
Technical architecture and best use of TEMENOS Client services tools, Configuration of TEMENOS products or interfaces with the products, according to the definitions supplied, Data migration and related activities. You will act as a Trusted Advisor to the Client in the area(s) of expertise. This includes advising the client on best practices in the market & within Temenos
You will work with the System Integrator and other sub-system architects in projects to design the system. Answer questions on Temenos products, capabilities and how they integrate with other sub systems within the bank.
You will demonstrate the capability of Temenos products based on specific use cases given by the client
You will validate the client's solution design and propose changes as required for design aspects that relate to Temenos product suite.
You will provide expertise to Clients in the definition of additional standard enhancements and advice on best practices.
You will provide advice/guidance and assistance to Temenos Implementation partners as required in projects implemented by Partners in area(s) of expertise. Participate/support in project Governance roles as directed by regional leadership.
You will lead the identification, definition and coordination of any development activities that may occur during the implementation of TEMENOS products, such as additional specific functionality, interfacing to external systems or conversion programs to be built.
You will lead the installation of custom enhancements and give final validation on technical set-up and conduct necessary testing to ensure user acceptance and global quality of the solution delivered.
You will lead, participate or guide in Proof Of Concepts as required within an Implementation project or within Internal projects including pre sales exercises
You will advice the client on SDLC lifecycle from Temenos Product perspective. Participate in validating the design of the client's CI/CD pipelines from Temenos product perspective
You will advice/validate the clients testing plan including all Types of testing. Recommend market standard tools for Testing /monitoring based on other clients and case studies
You will advise the Client on the setting up of a production environment and on the running of the TEMENOS products including application server parameters, application parameters and databases parameters & administration from product suite perspective.
You will lead all the required technical training for the Client, as necessary, which includes customization and design of client specific training materials and handouts that are effective and up to date. Run workshops and benchmarks to meet specific project and Client needs.
You will provide regular update and feedback to the Project Manager on implementation success, potential delays, risks/possible mitigations and resources needs adjustments in order to achieve project goals.
You will be recognised internally as specialist on complex technical and business matters. Work is performed independently and in collaborative nature. Has completely mastered technical and business skills required to accomplish the job.
You will provide guidance, coaching and advice to less experienced consultants. Individual with a customer focus who has developed the acumen to cultivate and build lasting customer relations.
SKILLS
You should have degree in Computer Science or related IT discipline.
You should have minimum 12 years' experience in Banking and Finance industry.
You should have good understanding of Development methodologies. Align with client's methodology and participate in client workshops for solution design
You should have the ability to work effectively in multiple complex implementation projects at the same time. You should have experience in writing functional software specifications.
You should have successful track record of designing and delivering projects.
You should have the ability to translate business requirements into IT solutions.
You should have strong analytical skills, organized, process driven and detail-oriented.
You should have good verbal and written communication skills, good presentation and problem solving skills and the ability to work well with client.
You should be goal-oriented and self-motivated team player who works best in a collaborative team environment.
Extensive travel entailed and may necessitate extended stays from home /office.
