The Opportunity

As an experienced professional, you'll wear many hats including leading multi-discipline packages of work, detailed design, client relationship management, mentoring and coaching others.

We are currently recruiting for Technical Director - Geotechnical to join our Building Structures team with broad experience in healthcare, commercial and mixed-development projects. This position will be based in our Singapore Office and reporting to Section Manager.

Technical Director - Geotechnical

About You

You'll be a qualified Professional Engineer (P. Eng - Geotechnical) with Professional Engineer Board, Singapore with your geotechnical engineering experience coming from a consulting environment. With broad experience , you will have a strong technical knowledge of geotechnical practices and principles. Working amongst a group of highly motivated professionals, you will step into an open and supportive culture that values the skills that you can contribute to the group. Along with proven and adapt stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse interests, you will be an experienced consultant and problem solver with highly developed analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify risks and deliver innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible to:


Act as the Qualified Person (Geotechnical) under local regulatory requirements. Lead geotechnical design, analysis, and review for foundations, earthworks, and retaining structures. Provide technical leadership. Ensure compliance with statutory codes, safety standards, and project specifications. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions.

Key Requirements

Degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering Minimum 15-18 years of relevant experience in Built Environment industry Registered as a QP (Geotechnical) with the Professional Engineers Board (PEB), Singapore. Proven experience in a consulting environment Strong knowledge of local codes and international standards. Excellent written & spoken communication skills in English Able to work independently & exercise initiative A team, client and delivery focused working style Respected technical specialist in their field
