Principle Frontend Engineer

Morgan McKinley is recruiting a Principle Frontend Engineer for an innovative, fast paced tech start up. This position will be responsible for high impact projects, with the autonomy to manage an independent portfolio.

Your new job

• Lead the development of application architecture for both traditional interfaces and SPAs
• Write clean, and efficient code in Javascript, React, HTML, CSS
• Knowledge of front-end frameworks and technologies such as React js, Angular etc
• Set front end architectural standards and guidelines for the platform
• Close collaborate with back-end engineers
• Lead collaborations with various teams to bring user interfaces to market quickly and reliably
• Oversee and expand the front-end engineering team's code culture and practice,
• Lead pair programming sessions and provide mentorship to other team members
• Participate with Product dept in planning out the work on your team
• Articulate and assert the needs of the front-end application portfolio in higher-level planning meetings, including hiring decisions
• Help identify and define new front-end roles and interview and assess applicants

• Degree or Masters in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
• Hands-on experience and track record of handling simultaneous deliveries
• Demonstrated Technical Leadership experience
• Experience in building highly-scalable and highly-available web applications
• Strong understanding and experience at every SDLC stage
• Expert proficiency in modern Javascript, React, Redux, HTML and CSS
• Expert understanding of browser based technologies and security practices
• Demonstrated knowledge of architecting single-page apps in modern SPA framework and libraries such as React, Angular, Redux including integration of API calls, websockets, and animations
• Familiarity with styled components and/or custom component library development
• Proficient with TDD/BDD and UI Automation testing
• Experience in MicroServices and Micro Frontend based development
• Able to adapt to a fast-paced startup environment
• Hands on experience with SQL/No SQL databases, Spring Boot, Node Js or Golang
• Working knowledge of UI/UX development would be an advantage
