• WM Lending is a key solution provider and one of the main growth drivers for the PB business.
• Head of Emerging Markets WM Lending role is an MB-3 level within a client facing business at Deutsche Bank.

Position Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• The role manages the EM WM Lending team covering all target markets within the region and is responsible for working with Relationship Managers and managing the execution of lending transactions, including structured and complex lending transactions.
• As the Regional Lending Head this role manages both internal and external key business relationships including a close relationship with Risk management, identifies and aligns emerging business opportunities, and provides steer on risk, regulatory, control and process topics focusing at all times to support and elevate Deutsche Bank\xe2\x80\x99s competitive position in its delivery to the franchise wide global business strategies.
• The role provides thought leadership and enables collaboration for and beyond the organization and fosters an environment in which professionals deliver excellence, so that the business is benchmarked and seen as world-class industry-leading organization.
• In addition, as senior specialist lender with structuring capabilities, he/she will be expected to be market leading in their creativity, breadth of product knowledge and in their management of client opportunities. They should be able to identify and advise on opportunities across the firms most complex and significant clients with credibility.

The position focuses on achieving regional financial targets as well as delivering the best in terms of client experience and solutions for clients of the highest profile and complexity:

• Significantly expand business footprint with clients using the balance sheet as a revenue generator.
• Focus on origination across existing and new clients, identification of commercial opportunities and drive growth.
• Ensure that the growth agenda occurs whilst maintaining strong credit quality, meeting all regulatory and control requirements and operating with the highest professional standards.

People Management

• Sets clear direction for the Lending team in line with overall business strategy and evolving regulatory expectations.
• Required to manage teams across multiple locations (including SG, HK and India (WM offshore)) with the view to the opportunity to manage larger teams in the future.
• Empowers, manages, coaches and mentors direct reports and others in the organization and holds their teams accountable for strong people, system and control management practices.
• Proactively manages performance and people issues to ensure alignment with the Bank\'s goals, values and code of conduct.

Experience / Requirements

• More than 10 years experience in Banking ie. Wealth Management / Investment Bank with focus on APAC market
• Already operating at MD level or equivalent as a producing manager with significant leadership and complex deal structuring skills
• Experience in managing diverse teams
• Strong communication skills with ability to clearly articulate one\xe2\x80\x99s viewpoints/ blockers / challenges and able to engage with other senior stakeholders
• Educated to degree standard.
