Responsibility: The Process and Control Operator shall keep continuous watch in the process control room An exciting opportunity as a Process and Control Operator awaits the successful candidate. Responsibility: The Process and Control Operator shall keep continuous watch in the process control room and ensure the running control of the production process. The Operator provides support to ensure they are carrying out own activities in a safe and healthy manner and that the impact of such activities on the environment is within acceptable limits. Specific Duties: . Assist in monitoring the process plant through the control room panels to identify abnormal operating conditions of systems and equipment . Coordinate to keep production records up to date and issue shift reports . Assist in monitoring operations, including equipment and plant starts and stops, guiding production operators to perform maneuvers and check equipment, vessels and systems . Ability to operate various devices, including control devices and valves, and to know the effect of each maneuver on the behavior of the system and the process as a whole . Assist in maintaining 1st line process equipment when production is interrupted . Support in overseeing Production Operator Training in the control room, where applicable. . Assist in carrying out the duties and tasks as specified in the Emergency Response Plan . Other adhoc duties, administrative or operational tasks Qualification Requirements: General education, certificates and experience: . Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or other equivalent engineering specialization. . At least 8 years' of experience having worked in an engineering set-up for Oil & Gas projects. . Extensive experience related to fixed and/or mobile unit production. . English and Portuguese verbal and written communication skills are essential to review Brazilian process manuals, records, and documentations for its offshore operations in Brazil . Exposure or knowledge on class society rules and requirements or familiarity with Brazilian standards for its offshore operations in Brazil will be a plus . Prior experience on Production and Maintenance on Petrobras FPSOs will be highly beneficial
