Design and develop new processes (PCP) to meet customer requirements and manufacturability. Conceptualize assembly process/tools in either manual, semi-automatic, fully-automatic or multi-purpose fixtures
Create specification/requirements for automation process, review service provider technical quotations, lead trial-run buy-off and process qualification; meeting intended machine KPI prior to releasing into production
Modify existing equipment, jigs and fixtures and machines or processes to meet the needs of manufacturing operations
Introduce new technology and design in processing, handling and manufacturing technology, abreast with latest, advanced technologies available
Execute engineering project to enhance yield, productivity & cost reduction through processes improvement.
Initiate, develop and implement new processes or supplier
Qualification and Documentation of new processes developed for manufacturing
Requirements
Job Requirements
Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Mechatronic Engineering or other relevant discipline
Minimum 5 years experience (diploma) or 3 years experience (degree) in Tool & Die Design, or Manufacturing Process Development. Working experience in connector manufacturing process would be strongly preferred. Familiar with statistical process control tool for process qualification.
Hands-on experience in stamping processes and mechanical assembly processes. Experience in Vision system and PLC programming will be preferred.
Good interpersonal skills, strong technical background with analytical mind. Self-motivated and ability to communicate well with all level of staffs and external contacts.
