As one of our Cell Line Development Scientists you will be developing and optimising proprietary cell lines to create our next generation production platforms to make genetic medicines more economical. You will also be working closely with our process development and manufacturing teams to create a seamless integrated bench-to-vial manufacturing line. Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on laboratory work on the cell line and upstream process development team contributing to the development of processes suitable for technology transfer to the cGMP manufacturing teams
  • Contribute to process validation / characterization activities by performing supporting laboratory scale studies
  • Interpret analytical data provided by the analytical team to define subsequent steps
  • Working as part of a site and global project team and ensure timely delivery of project work stages
  • Deliver high quality communication to ensure an outstanding customer experience with our clients (written reports, teleconferences and face to face meetings)
  • Perform mammalian cell culture processes Cell Line Development (routine cell culture, FACS); Process Development (10L/50L laboratory scale bioreactors); Process Characterization (10L/50L laboratory scale bioreactors).
Requirements
  • PhD bioprocessing, bioengineering, chemical engineering or equivalent science field.
  • Familiarity with basic molecular biology techniques, mammalian cell culture and operating single-use bioreactor systems.
  • Experience in performing process development and process characterization using HEK293T cell lines (including adapting adherent cultures to suspension).
  • Work authorization in Singapore.
  • Demonstrable problem solving, analytical and teamworking skills.
  • Demonstrable communication skills (verbal and written).
Desired Qualifications
  • A comprehensive understanding of cGMP manufacturing requirements and constraints.
  • Experience in producing small to medium scale runs of pDNA, mRNA, or AAVs.
